Patience is a virtue

Dogs can really push the limits of a one's composure.  At one point, Harvey tested my patience. But now, it's solely Norm's turf.  Fortunately for Norm, Harvey's mistakes made me an old pro.  Norm's "pesty"ness has consisted of chewing the corners of my childhood dresser, barfing up Q-tips at 4 a.m. in the morning, and spreading lint from the laundry room garbage all over the house.   No big deal.  Especially after Harvey had a stuffing party with my entire couch!

Yesterday, I was super excited to wrap up a couple fun books for Dave with a congrats letter for being done FOREVER in the ICU.  I thought of placing the present on his laptop for him to find when he arrived home.  But, I thought it would be more fun to hide it under his pillow so that when he went to bed he would find it.

Today, I received a call around 12:30 p.m. while at work.  Excited, because Dave just found his present, right? "Thank you, because I think you got me a present, but sorry, because I think Norm chewed it up and there are pieces everywhere!"

Like I said, patience is a virtue.

Perhaps Norm took the title of this book literally-"Edible" Wild Plants
